Fresh Peaches Paintings
Fresh Peaches Paintings
We used to have a peach tree on the farm where I grew up. I miss the fresh and vibrant flavors of a just-ripe peach.

Daily Paintworks Art Challenge
I painted this tree as part of Daily Paintworks' "The Give a Tree Its Gesture Challenge."
There is a sugar maple tree in my back yard that turns a stunning vibrant red in early fall before its leaves fall off. It is so lovely against the landscape of tall Long Leaf Pine trees that tower above it.

30 in 30 Art Challenge--Painting No. 30
Today is the last day of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days art challenge. It has been fun and challenging, and I am glad I was able to complete all 30 paintings this month. I am thankful for all of you who have followed me along on this challenge.
I chose a seascape theme for my month-long art challenge. Here is my last painting for the challenge. While at the marina at Nags Head, I took pictures of a life preserver hanging on a wooden pole. It seemed inconspicuous at first, but then I could see the power in this little orange thing--the power to save a life if necessary.

30 in 30 Art Challenge--Painting No. 29
As we headed into the marina, we saw many boats at dock after a long day of fishing on the Oregon Inlet. This is the last of my boat series from Nags Head.
