Avocados are one of my favorite vegetables.  The rich buttery texture is so wonderful.  The color is splendid.  I couldn't help but paint one.

The fruit section of the grocery store has great produce that make wonderful still life subjects. The Muscadines are gorgeous in color and taste just as good. The Granny Smith apples are tart and sweet the way I like them.

To tell the truth, I need to get on one of these and start my exercising regime.  I've been telling myself I will do this for the longest.  Eh, at least I sat down and painted a bike.  It is on my mind, right?

My first car was a VW Bug. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had much fun riding around in that little car. I miss it.

My father-in-law grows vegetables in his garden. He gave me these beautiful red and green chiles. I love the rich colors and tried to capture their vibrancy in this painting. Enjoy!

I stopped at the railroad tracks one day--no train was coming--and I looked at the lights and thought, "What a wonderful painting this would make."  I took a digital photo and went home and painted it.  It was fun seeing how the painting came together.  It is a tight rendering.  I may try to paint it again in a looser style.
