This is a small painting (12 x 9 inches) in acrylic on 140 lb. Strathmore watercolor paper.
I stopped at the railroad tracks one day--no train was coming--and I looked at the lights and thought, "What a wonderful painting this would make." I took a digital photo and went home and painted it. It was fun seeing how the painting came together. It is a tight rendering. I may try to paint it again in a looser style.
