30 in 30 Challenge -- Day 5

Here is my fifth painting for the challenge.  A blue and white teacup and saucer.  Below are the steps to creating this painting.

Step Four -- I wasn't satisfied with this color combination, so I darkened the background with mixture of Burnt Sienna and Titanium White.  The finished painting...

Step Three -- I added a wash of yellow in the background.

Step Two -- I added color to the teacup using Ultramarine Blue and Titanium White.  I blocked in a bit of Cadmium Yellow Hue in the background.

Step One -- I began with a pencil sketch of the teacup and saucer on 140 lb. watercolor paper.
